Default xmas trees - sorry I know there is more to worry about

Is it worth taking the fake xmas tree and decorations?

In particular I have a decent fibre optic tree which I would hate to get rid of if they are dead expensive there.

We're taking ours, but only because we're filling a container anyway. No point replacing something we already own. To be honest though, after being in Perth in the run up to Xmas last year I don't know if we'll use them all like we do here (although we did drive past a few 'grotto's' lol). It didn't seem quite so festive in the lovely heat .

I bought a nice artificial tree before coming out because I didn't think I would be able to get a nice real tree. How wrong I was! Saw heaps of really nice ones and reasonably priced. (This is in Melb BTW). Also I thought I had bought a decent sized one but when I put it up in our larger lounge than the UK it was quite small!

I did bring back all my decorations (had bought a lot in Germany over the years) and I am glad I did because I what I did see out here weren't very nice.

Only had one thing confiscated by Customs and it was a Christmas nativity scene that had moss on it. I had to pay to have it destroyed. So make sure no pine cones or anything similar.
