If hes got the phone, ipad, skateboard, surfboard, HD telly, X box whatever.....

Once my lot hit teens it was great, we do a really silly $10 secret santa type thing with the xmas meal ( this year its mid december ) then we hit the sales after xmas if anyone wants anything big.

Over Xmas we always take a trip, none of us, even the aussie, are into the hot xmas bbq thing, so we travel instead, kids would much rather that than large amounts of gifts anyway.

Its been so much more fun than when they were primary age and their mates would get half of K marts rubbish every year, or one family where each year the X box or whatever was times 3, one per kid!!

Big Holiday instead of random gifts

A broadband connection and a box of tissues?

It's all I wanted at that age ...

(edit) ... and I haven't changed.
