Default would you travel to aus on news years eve?

hello

have been looking for flights for just after early Jan, sometime around the 4th. prices for one adult went from £1,300 odd with BA to £611 with Sinagpore airliines.

I then changed the date to the 31st of December price came up as £525...its a thought. I dont normally do new years eve, my birthday being the 30th dec, so thought why not..but who would see me off at the airport.

just wondered if anyone else would travel on that day?

regards

lolly

I would Lolly for sure.

That is a superb price and what a way to see in the new year as well as a change of life.

One day can make a huge difference in price - too good a chance to pass up.

I treat every New Year as just that..a new year, a new chance. I would love to start a new life on this date.

Hi lolly

My family and I flew with Emirates on New Years Eve this year, arriving in Perth on New Years Day. Saved a few hundred pounds altogether. Was just like any other day and we did not know when to celebrate the \new Year as we were flying thru different time zones. Was worth it just to save money though

why the devil not?
at least you started your new year with a new life!!
i went into the travel agents today and for 2 adults + 3 kids got quoted £3010 with quantas. online through ebookers got £2601 for same flight.
it varies so much ... you go with what you are happy with. dunno what airline crew feel about flying on new years eve ... supoose if they are ok with it, it could be a great flight!!!

Personally Lolly I think it sounds a fantastic time to go. Do the farewell's at home and catch a taxi. The adventure will have an extra element of excitement being the start of a new year.

Good luck either way, and best wishes for a safe and comfortable flight.

I always travel Christmas day and New Year by choice - why on earth not? The aircraft are usually half full.
