Default Would I be on P plates?

If I pass my test this month and head to oz within the next couple of months, will I be on 'P' plates?

Looking forward to other responses to this one.

My wife passed her test in 1986 but in Indonesia. Therefore she had to take a theory test here in Australia - and then had to have P plates for two years.

Don't know about you - theoretically it could go either way.

If you haven't had a full licence for two years then you are on P Plates in NSW. Don't know about the other states.

Anyhow, P plates are fine.

You are allowed to do 110 kmh in a 60kmh zone, swerve in and out of traffic and drive like a general f*kwit for two years.

Good onya!!

You should be able to take the lisence into the Department of transport and exchange for a Oz one. I had only passed about 8 months and it wasn't a problem. Higher excess than hubbies but that was it.

Cheers and good luck with the test
