Red face working in melbourne

Dear All,

I have recently gained RN Division 1 nurse status in NSW and I plan to apply for mutual recognition in Victoria, as Melbourne was always our first choice.

I was wondering what the job situation is like in Melbourne for working with people with Learning disabilities. At present i run a respite care centre for children with a learning disability and some form of complex medical issue.

I am paediaitric nurse and Learning disability trained nurse.

I am also wondering who provides services to people with learning disabilities? Is it the Social care system or is it private organisations?

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

regards,

nirrade.
