working details database??

working details database??
Not sure where to look or where to ask,but was wondering if there was such a thing as a database held somewhere that holds info about me and where i have worked these past years,i know there from being there but was wondering if there was such a thing or place?
I know a few years back one of my most employers i mostly worked for gave me a print out on jobs i was at and dates i worked there,was wondering if there was anything like this but on a database somewhere.

Maybe a thick answer, not sure exactly what your looking for but " CV " comes to mind.and maybe a really good memory? where about in Scotland are you and where are you heading
