Working in Chatswood - Living in Northern Beaches?
Taking a job in Chatswood, Sydney in Jan 2011 and thinking about possibly living around Northern Beaches area............what is the commute like? Busy roads? How long?
Any recommendations re areas to look?
We are a couple with kids all grown up (and staying in UK)

Only buses run from the northern beaches to chatswood, the roads can get busy in peak hours. For times have a look on 131500 planner, it can be accessed from city rail site - http://www.cityrail.info/
I used to work in Chatswood and lived in Hornsby/Waitara as it is only 20-25 mins and the trains are very regular.

You'll be fine. Traffic will be a lot better than going into the city. As per usual will depend what time you go. It its <8 or > 9 shouldn't be too bad
