Default Wol's house build

Now getting to the finishing furlong: driveway being formed. Bills are now coming in thick and fast....

Alarm system in and activated - one less thing to think about.

It's just one acre - 4000 sq. m. I'd rather not discuss the alarm, for obvious reasons, but it's a sophisticated one. I don't think any new build should be without one in this day and age.

It looks as if the rain coming across is going to slow down the driveway and turfing, unfortunately: the good news is that the hundreds of natives we've already planted will get a drink!

It'll be ***** cold when we move in! Winters here are colder than the South of England, even if the sun does come out after the frosts!

Minus single figures: I think -8 is about the coldest. No permafrost though!

It's looking fantastic...a dream come true. Has it taken long from first conception, did you buy a package? Sorry if I'm being nosey!

We started trying to buy the lot aout 18 months ago or a bit more: planning application went in 30 June last and we started breaking ground September.

It's been very satisfying since we designed the house ourselves on graph paper and with polystyrene models: to walk through what we modelled is a bit weird!
