Default Wilf - put up or shut up

Wilf,

In all your posts and claimed old codger experience of Australia, you haven't once given us any personal experiences or insight into what living in Australia means or meant to you. Very strange. For any of us who might (no doubt perversely) question whether you have any real experience of Australia at all (surely you're not Slipper the 28 year old Brit emigré living in NZ?), why not put us right and tell us something from the heart or memory about your life in Australia?

Or are you just a figgin?

Well, apparently he's married and living with wife and offspring in NZ (near Wellington? Not sure.) On about NZD40K a year - no joke. Couldn't get a job in the area he's got skills. Disillusioned. Computer access.

Doesn't excuse a troll mentality, posting about the Australia he never knew.

Slipper - Wilf - who gives an Orang utan's!!!

Hang on a minute, I'm sure I remember him saying he lived in Aus.
He apparently divides his time between posting drivel and growing veggies.

What Wilf says and what is true are very different things!

True mark of a troll: argumentative, full of crap, no credibility - judge for yourself. Wilf: 10/10, 10/10, 10/10.

Some good news, I've just noticed in the Lounge that 'Wilf' is not around for much longer. Seems he's leaving the country, the funny thing is he said he doesn't want to post about somewhere when he's in another country!

And normally witless. Wilfos specialist subject is to know everything about nothing. Still I won't say too much now I prefer to shoot him down when he's online...it is'nt difficult.

What again? Do you remember his post about a month ago "Wilf will post no more"?

As I have said many times before, I have no intention of posting personal information. I have seen it used against people to rubbish posts that have merit and that is my reason. I have lived in Oz for all my adult life and have every right to state my low opinion of Oz on the forum. I have never bowed to bullies in my life, son, and am not about to start now. If you do not like my stuff, don't read it, but as far as I know there are already forum referees here and I am sure if a vacancy came up they would not want you.

It is ironic you talk all the time about me being someone else because I recall that you admitted to playing at being another poster called "NewstartNZ". For a 40 year old man with kids, this is pretty pathetic behaviour is it not? Perhaps you need to address your own troubles, son, before you start throwing stones at my window.

I have said it before, I will say it again: I am Wilf, only Wilf. Not
PB, not Dotty, not Slipper, not Megalania, just Wilf.

One last thing. Is your name really Don Pleasance? Your mum and dad must have had a cruel sense of humour, since I see you must have been born in about 1963 and the disturbing actor Donald Pleasance was very famous then for being in the Great Escape. I saw it in London not long after it came out and enjoy it as much these days as I did then. Anyway, Don, you have my sympathies - that must have been a hell of a name to go through school with. I bet you wish mum had been a fan of Steve McQueen instead now don't you?

To answer your questions, Debsy:

I am retired and I live in Australia.

This is an uncharateristically good post from you wussie. It is also a very brave one for you, because it is the first time I have seen you write something without expressing fears about asylum seekers and little girls mugging you for 10 pence (as you see the refugees to England, it seems). Keep under the duvet, wussie, and for your own sake do not come to Oz - it is full of refugees, including poms.

As I have said before, Chipstick, I do keep a good garden at home but come to this patch to tend my vegetables like yourself. When the season started, I had hopes for you, but now you are starting to look wizened and weedy, and I think I will have to send you into That's Life as an amusing veggie that looks (and posts) like stunted wedding tackle.

A person who REFUSES to declare where they are loses all credability with me, he could just be re posting articles he's read or picked up with ZERO personnel experience.

Kiwipaul, you never had any credibility with me in the first place. Personal information is too often used against posters here to attack points that have merit and I am not going to fall for it.

I have lived in Oz for nearly all my life and have given some personal information to a few by PM. I have no intention of making my life public here. If you, or others, do not want to hear what I have to say, for whatever reason, that is your right. I do not care and you are under no duress to read my posts.

I am more concerned with the fact that you are a poor advert for the Oz employment situation when you have said that all you can get is 3 month contracts - this exactly makes my point about what a bleak future awaits the poms trying to come here.

When I post here, I am talking to those who are prepared to listen and who are intersted in the opinions of a family man from England who has lived in Oz most of his adult life, not an unattached, backpacker like you who has admitted he has no responsibilities and therefore no interest in the long term future of Oz life. You give advice about the good life in Oz but have admitted you are buggering off to NZ in the future. Great. It is very responsible to promote a country you are quitting for want of a permanent job isn't it?
