application form? I'm pretty sure you have to fill it out in English.

BTW, call DIMA and let them know 70% of Perth is made up of tourists and
non-citizens.

Not by birth go anywhere in Perth you will hear POMS ,and those who have Aussie accent will be POM tanted somewhere along the line.The local paper ran a make the POMS become Aussies or chuck out them story , great where do I sign up for the boat.

"Keeping up with the Joneses" is a figure of speech in the UK, it means copying the
buying habits of your neighbours in order to show that you are as wealthy/classy as
they are. e.g if you have an old car and the neighbours get a new car, you may be
accused of "keeping up with the Joneses" if you buy a new car too.

It's not just in the UK. It's a common expression in (overly materialistic)
America too.
