Default Why do my threads keep getting locked??

Why?
Are only pro Aus and anti UK posts allowed??

I have not insulted
anyone, merely encouraged debate?

Surely that is healthy in a forum.??

Any ideas, before this one goes the same way??

Kong,
encouraging debate is one thing (and a good thing) but I think your tone
and language tend to get people's backs up, in turn heating up the
conversation. While you don't directly insult any one person, comments
such as calling wannabes 'the big house and sun brigade' tend not to go
down well. Your views are as valid as the next man or womans but why
can't you just take it down a level?

Maybe being brave as I am drunk but what is the problem most have with
Kong???

He posted a nice message to one of my posts when I was feeling
really down and homesick and I am sorry to those who slate him but he
gets my vote. I am not pissed off with anything he has posted so far.

I wish all those well with getting their visa etc... but once you get
here the real stress and struggle starts. I am feeling on a high at the
mo after a great weekend but it is not all plain sailing

it only FOS if it fits within your (or others) narrowly-defined
limits? I 'love' self-appointed guardians who feel they should
determine what should be posted.

Some don't want reality to intrude
on a dream. Tough - some want to know more fact or experience than
fairytale.

As far as I recall, Kong doesn't insult - unless somebody
else begins it.

In between the positive and negative views about
Oz/UK lies the 'truth' - and even that varies for each individual.

Unless the post is defamatory or totally unrelated to Oz-UK issues,
why shouldn't it be posted? It may be useful to someone.

If you don't
like it, don't read it.

kong, if you feel you are being unfairly treated, why not mail one of
the mods?

seems odd that the threads are locked but not
deleted.

Look at it another way - you're getting your say,
but many others aren't having a chance to reply.

    :)

Er
right. Read it again. I said encouraging debate is a good thing. One
man's opinion is as valid as the next man's.
Did you miss that
somewhere? Self appointed guardian? My only comment was (in response to
the original posters question) that perhaps the type of language used
could be modified so as to get the point across without riling people.

Ahhhhhhh.......poor little kong. I take it this is a plea for
sympathy. Round up some troops, get a bit of moral support. Stop your
whining and go find something to cut n paste.
