Generally, I find this site to be more anti-Australian tan the other way round - although I'm sure you'll disagree with me.

Maybe we are hoping people will stay away. The beaches are getting awfully crowded.

Next ...

And Land Tax is charged (increasingly heavily) on rental accommodation and not on owner occupied properties. On a $550 rental in Sydney it can be $80.

Business Services and IT Audit Graduates with No Experience $44,000

Accounts Clerks School Leaver $38,000

Being out is different to smokin'.
A young girl I interviewed in front of the boss wanted 53k and we gave it to her. All she had to do was answer the phone and add lines to a spreadsheet..

this question is quite relative...for some people who have higher wages over here wouldn't find the expenses much...

but i doubt uk would be much cheaper now, after the recession...

UK, US are still cheaper and most of the people find better lifestyle in US/UK with all quality brands.
