Thanks everyone, I really was only a little bit of effort on my part
Yup, Emily Anne is our first (and maybe only!) kid so we have a fair amount of learning to do but it feels great to be a parent.
She was born at the Royal Brisbane and weighed 2.2kg (5lb) at 37 weeks, a bit diddy hence the need for a bit more care.
Can't sit around here chatting though, I've got job apps
and visiting
to do!
Thanks for the congrats again guys, and, yeh, the overwhelming emotion is "relief"!
Cheers

Before my wife got pregnant, I never really cared too much about kids, and didn`t go ooh-aah at other people`s babies.....
But once you have one of your own, you realise it is seriously the best thing in the world and you wonder why you never had one years ago. I love being a Dad. I REALLY love being a Dad, and I can tell you do too. Get that video camera working, becasue the first 8 months FLY by and their features change so much it`s unbelievable. When we look at the video`s from the first few months we realise how much we forgot she looked like.

Wow! Congrats Matt! Brilliant timing as well, as you settle into your new life. Hope it all goes well for you mate, and allow yourself one or two

I'd send you karma but it won't let me!
