Arrived in Melbourne 7 months ago - had a job to come to on temp Visa. Had never been to Australia before - but risk has paid off as we love it here 
Since got 136 SI PR, and have left the job I was sponsored to do (hated it), but Carl has a job teaching, and I'll look for something once our visitors have been and gone.

Came to Cairns cos they told me the forest was teaming with zebra.......aint seen one yet........lying bassards.

Cairns for us. Been here before we migrated, we didn't want the 'big city lifestyle', have been lucky enough to see other parts of Australia. All very nice but not the same as FNQ.
People will settle where they feel most at home. It'll work for some and not for others. No one place is wrong, just what suits us all.

Victoria as I have family there and STNI was our only route. But have been and really liked the place.
