So, its unfurnished. That's OK, the container, hopefully will arrive a few days/weeks after so it should not be a big deal, as many of you have experienced.

The first and most important thing....MATTRESSES!

We have found these shops....would you use any of them?

1. Harvey Norman
2. Ikea
3. Fantastic furniture
4. Super Amart
5. The Mattress place in Victoria Point QLD
6. The Mattress factory in Cleveland
7. Beds R Us
8. Sleep City
9. Other??

Ideally, I'll try to organize a delivery for the day we will arrive (or maybe the day after). Some of them actually do deliver for free

As a backup plan, I have a motel booked for a few days

So, what's your say guys? Did you buy any from the above and if so what's your opinion? Never shopped there before, so I have no idea

Cheers!

Anywhere but Ikea - they make the shittest mattresses known to man. Buy one from these clowns and expect it to fall apart after 13 months.

Ikea is fine for anything that does not have fabric, a lining, padding etc.

As mentioned before, get an airbed - you'll need it for camping or guests further down the line - and take your time and make the right decision, remeber we spend about 1/3 of our lives asleep

That's very true mate, cheers. Compared to here, they are very expensive indeed!!!

Cheers
