Where From and Where to?
Hiya All,
I am curious to see where people are from/are and where you have decided to settle in Australia.
Also, what type of visa and job you are going to do or doing.
We are from Beverley, East Yorkshire
We are starting in Adelaide to see family and then thinking of Brisbane area to settle. We are coming out on a 136 Visa as a hairdresser.

Starting off in Brisbane, travelling down from there through Sydney, Melbourne and finally settling in Adelaide where I have family.
Going on a 136 visa and hopfully the hubby will get a job as an Electrician.

Wakefield West Yorkshire to Springfield Lakes Brisbane.

Hubby...........Senior manager (medical supplies) NHS
Me............Retail manager
Both don't care what jobs we get but hubby definately does NOT want to work in an office again if he can help it!

We are from Rickmansworth in Hertfordshire and we are planning on living in Bungarby, NSW (approx. 2 hrs from Canberra, so very rural!).
Going out on a 136 skilled independent visa, hopefully end Aug/Sept, just waiting for the house to go through!
Hubby is IT Network Designer, but made redundance just before our validation trip back in Feb/Mar an I have my own wedding stationery business (internet based) which I'll setup again over there, but we're going to have some time out and Dan doesn't want to do IT any more so maybe some farming ......!

If I can presuade my OH to come to Canberra then I will. He doesn't fancy it at the minute.
I have a basic plan at the minute, but we will probably take it as it comes and just go with the flow.

We are at the wait and get on each others nerves bit
Application lodged Dec 05. Case officer assigned April 06. Medicals done, pccs done and bond lodged with Centrelink. These final bits were done and sent off 26th April so hopefully it should be any time now (If its much longer my sanity or liver will be in grave danger
