Just for the record the refinery is in Altona 5 miles from Williamstown - NIMBY Oil tanks on Point Gellibrand have been there for nearly 100 years and St Kilda and Brighton would go as well :D

I think you mean the mobile storage park at footscray it's a fair distance from Williamstown

To be honest none of the industrial stuff is near enough to the houses to be a danger

I worked for one of that lot- they are very very conscious of their social responsibility so I'd say it feels pretty safe.

And I have to say I was surprised at Shell Geelong going up for sale this week- though Mobil Altona would have been first. It is ripe for selling and being knocked down....just a matter of time.
