Where can I buy clothes?!

Where can I buy clothes?!
I'm 6 feet tall (and female). For years in the UK I was restricted to Long Tall Sally, or mens jeans, until Dorothy Perkins started doing tall clothes. Now I'm in Melbourne, and went out today to try and buy a coat. I knew it would be hard, as it always is, and I'd already given up on finding trousers for work and bought skirts instead. I didn't think it'd be impossible.
A quick scour of the internet has found the Long Tall Clothing Co in Blackburn, but their webpage doesn't show any clothes of interest.
So. Are there any of you out there that are tall? And can you give me a clue where to go shopping? Otherwise it's going to be mail order from the UK for me, which somewhat takes the fun out of it all.

Can't help I'm afraid but wondered if you had tried in Myer? They have so many different brands of clothing in there you might get lucky.
Good luck!

They have a Karen Millen in the GPO building - her trousers are always too long for me and whilst I am not tall I have long legs. Friends of mine in the UK who are both 6ft also buy her trousers and don't have to take them up.
Otherwise I would try Myers and DJ's as the other person has suggested.

Maybe I'll have another go tomorrow and take my ball of string with me.

Where are you thinking of ordering from in the UK? I can't find anywhere that delivers to Oz. I used to get a lot of my daughter's clothes from Verbaudet, but they don't deliver overseas, sadly. She has the same problem - she's only 8 but takes clothes in length for an 11/12 yo. She is very slim, so the right length clothes are miles too big. It's a pain getting trousers for school for her.
Good hunting!

If you have something from there, you will probably find the same design from the same factory in Target.
And you're correct about Target selling the same stuff - other shops here also sell it too. I had a top that I bought in Myer in Sydney (cheapy Urbane label) that was identical to a Next top that my sister had bought in the UK.
We also had other matching t-shirts - I had one from Target that was identical to my sister's Dorothy Perkins version.
Makes me laugh when people go on about how wonderful Next stuff is - all that stuff about better quality, fantastic range, can get it here... etc etc. There's nothing special about it at all - it's the same Chinese mass-produced stuff that they sell all over the world. They just stick a different label on it, depending on who's paying!

I haven't looked at the clothes shipping thing in detail. If they don't ship to Oz I'll get them delivered to my sister's house and she'll forward them on - she's also tall and has the same problems and is generally lovely!
