This has been our story of the last few years -
Late summer 2009 decide to move to Australia (visa issues little easier for us as my Wife is an Aussie).
Autumn 2009 - started 'doing' the house up ready for the market, painting the walls and generally fixing lots of things.
April 2010 - put the house on the market.
July 2010 - received offer for the house and accepted the offer.
September 2010 - moved to rental accommodation on a 6 month lease and then on a month by month basis after that.
February 2011 - started applying for certain jobs.
March 2011 - managed to secure two interviews via Skype and I managed to get offered the job I wanted !!!!
April 2011 - put notice in at work and on the house
Jobs a good un
Sounds so easy when you list everything like that! But there has been so much work involved!!!!!

Congratualtions! There is quite a lot of work involved. Pretty stressful stuff at times.
Informed my employer informally last week and will hand in the offical notice before the 14th
7.5 days holiday to take + with the bank holidays I'll only actually work for 9.5 days after handing it in

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS!!
We're at about the same stage as you - husband and I finish our work this week, daughter finishes nursery too.
My husband has just been offered a job, albeit temporarily until December, but it's a start!
Fly out to Melbourne on 29 April - counting the days down now.
Where and when are you off?
