When to go?

When to go?
Just wondered how many of you out there once you have got your visa do you move straight away or do you go out for three weeks,get your visa validated come back and then decide what to do?Is it right that once you have validated your visa you then have five years to make the move?

We left it to the last minute to validate the visa. Even the guy at the airport commented that we had just made it to Oz in time. It was just down to circumstances really & the fact that I was pregnant during the visa application being made & another few things that happened which caused a slight delay in our plans to leave the UK winter 2004.
We visited Oz in May 2004 (first entry to be no later than 19 May 2004) to validate & will be arriving in Oz 'proper' in Feb '06.
The visa allows us to enter & leave Oz as many times as we like until 8 July 2008. After this date we must obtain a resident return visa if we travel overseas and want to return to Oz as permanent residents.
