I've just come back from a week in NZ, sunburnt, to discover that winter is still in full swing in Melbourne...and it's November tomorrow!

72mm of rain here between 9AM Saturday and 9AM this morning.

50-100mm right across the Melbourne area and most central districts as far north as Bendigo.

The temperature is currently 10.5C here.

Summer is certainly not here yet.

The other 5% consisted of people who were running late or something, and plodded along at I dunno, 30 or 40kph, but there would also be the odd idiot still doing 100kph odd ...:eek::eek:

That would of been me, I was used to driving in the rain, couldn't see what the fuss was all about

Currently 22.9 C here, went down to 17C overnight. Was a cold night, I needed covers.

Hi Al,
Loving the house thanks for asking but we still haven't done the landscaping. I would say that the cost of landscaping has been the biggest shock of the building process.

The weather is just perfect at the moment warm and dry with a gentle sea breeze. It is going up to 35 on Wednesday which with the sea breeze is is lovely

Excellent news. Landscaping is hard, hard work if your DIY and does cost a lot is paying someone else.

It will be good to see some pics on your thread when it's done.

We are going to do as much as we can ourselves but we are getting someone in to build the limestone walls and pour the liquid limestone and concrete but being a fair size block (just under 900 sqm) the cost really adds up. I will post some progress pictures but it might a very slow process.
