Whats happening to 138's
Having eagerly checked the weekly update again this morning at DIMIA I was really disappointed to see that this is now the fourth week that there has been no progress made on Offshore Applications and that they are still working on applications up to 5th December. What the heck's going on!! anyone got any ideas?

138 visa's are just about one of the slowest there is . it took us nearly 9 months before we got a CO. once you get that though, it does go rather quickly. have you had you med/pccs done yet? what date is your application? we timed it so that our meds were done 3 weeks before the actual request came through. the police checks had been done a few months before.

Sorry for the ramble.... good luck everyone, it's a long wait but worth it in the end.

So we may hold off getting the other countries police checks done for a couple of months or so as they are going to be a bureaucratic nightmare to sort out. If our application takes so long that DIMIA request us to have the UK police checks re-done, then thats no problem. I think we will get the meds done in October.

aren't you better off getting the overseas police checks sorted (or least sent off? which countries are they for? at least you know how long the uk police checks take (in our case 43 days - GMP).
