I'm a sucker for Aussie stuff - always have been. I loved E-Street, still watch H&A and Neighbours and right now I'm loving Kath & Kim. I think one of my all time favourites was My Restaurant Rules.

Talking of MRR - are any of the restaurants still running?

I love my restaurant rules too. I'm hoping they show the 2nd series soon (although I cheated and looked at the website so I know who won it.) :(

he he, I'm exactly the same, I looked ahead when we started watching the first series although my hubby didn't want to know. I also do this with H&A. We're just in the thick of the Stalker storyline and it's really good to see all the clues as I know who it is.

What about Sons & Daughters. That was my mum's fave. She used to tape the last fifteen minutes while she picked us up from school and then we would watch it when we got back. Crikey weren't we barmy!

When I was 9yrs old it was Skippy but it's got to be Kath & Kim.

That kids programme, Never mind the koala's is quite cool for kids too. It's a little bit off the wall.

Some of the Aussie films are pretty good too.

LOL yep - it was amazing how they seemed to be in every battle or country in WW2 - I seem to remember one where they were in Holland & being hidden from the Nazis & having to eat tulip bulbs or something??
What was the programme that was like Summer Bay and it had a police man & his family in it (not Blue Heelers - I quite enjoyed that too)
Some good memeories coming back now - you forget just how many Oz programmes there were out at one time - Sons & Daughters was brill with Patricia who was a real bitch but came back as her sister or something and what was the one about the doctors with the blonde doctor who had a pet wombat??

I remember that!!!!!!!

The walls use to move when 'Bea' lent on them, mind you, the whole world moved when Bea moved!

That sad music they played to Cell Block H - 'He use to bring me roses' song.

I love Country Practice with Fatso the wombat.

If you haven't seen it folks prepare to p....yourself laughing... when Kath was walking up the red carpet..when they were doing Irish dancing, the bit with the horse and Kim oh I could go on forever... :D :D :D

I used to watch Country Practice, Flying Doctors, Sons and Daughters, Sullivans... what was the Hospital drama thingy with Jim Robinson in it? Young Doctors?

I was only young when I watched all these, and it was only because my Mum used to watch all them.
I've watched quite a bit of Prisoner: Cell Block H too, but hardly remember it. I'd much prefer to watch that again though over something like Bad Girls!

Has no-one mentioned Pizza? That's got to be my fave programme here - fully! ;)

Kath and Kim....I'm going to buy the first series DVD along with some incontinence pads from Tesco's this afternoon.

I also loved 'Sylvania Waters' shown for the first time here back in 92'. Great fly on the wall show, keep hoping SKY will show a repeat. Can anyone remember which part of Oz they were from?

his name was Les somethingorother.......with that funny shaped hat!
im sure i saw it was on video, but thats going back a bit.

I keep dipping into neighbours...miss a year or so then dip back in....you dont really miss much! like it though....good escapism (which is what soaps are all about) without being too depressing and full of violence and sex!!! 9well, not much anyway)

its funny to watch prisoner cell block h, cos may aussie actors are in it that are now in progs like neighbours etc.

:D
