Default what you doing with your "payrise"

as the government just gave us all a "payrise" startin in the new tax year, has anyone thought about what to do with it.

this is really obvious but you could wipe years off a mortgage by useing it to pay off your mortgage.

as i dont have a mortagage yet im gonna split the small extra bit im gonna have $60 a month and have it paid direclty into a savings account by my employer

it wont just dissapear as i get use to the extra bit

What payrise? Any tax gain has just been eaten up by the rapidly increasing food bill.
