Winter nights feel cold cos of crap insulation but days can be in high 20's
Rain comes in huge deluge not all day drizzle.
Summer is fantastic on beach, you'll need air con at home!

Looking at a climate chart blows your mind? Seriously, I look at these all the time for planning holidays etc and there really is nothing hard about it. It is far better than posting on an internet forum when you will likely get comments about the last week.

We're in our 5th winter & found the weather to be miles better than lancashire, bought a woodburner & a chainsaw for winter & have a pool, aircon & beach for summer.
Missing family & friends is the hard bit not coping with beautiful weather!
Tried to pot some winter pics on with new Samsung phone so hope it works.
Yeah it does, 1st pic is trailriding near lake st clair, then early morning over harbour bridge, & finally unloading at kooragang island.
Obviously it's not always sunny but far more than oop north.
Haha just realised none of these pics are on central coast, will take one at beach later!

I've been up here on the coast for 15 years. Spring and Autumn are perfect, just like the best of Lancashire/Yorkshire summers. ( I'm a northern lad myself )
Winter, often gorgeous blue skies, not a cloud in sight, 18-20 C during the day, 3-10 C at night. Daylight is from about 6.30am to 5.00 pm in winter. I like winter, while others are walking about in thick coats I often still have shorts and tee-shirt on.
Summers, usually about 25-28C but can easily get upto 35 for days on end and it can get humid. ( but not as bad as in the tropics ) Nightime is usually comfortable, but can still be too warm on occassions. I personally don't like summer because when I get too hot I feel ill and lethargic. Aircon is a must for me.
There's usually a nice breeze near the coast to help cool the heati in summer, but a few km's away from the ocean it can get unbearable ( for me anyway )
As others have said, when it rains it really rains. Funny thing is it can be torrential for 5 or 6 hours, then half an hour later the sun comes out and you can see the steam rising off the concrete.

Winter is great - well - in terms of glorious blue winter skies. It gets a bit of rain too - and short days - like most of the rest of the world!
If you are one of life's haters of cold winter days and grey skies, you can't beat some of the bottom bit of the NSW East coast..surely?
(Once you head much past Coffs, you're heading into sub-tropical climes...)

Re: What is typical seasonal weather like in Central Coast?
Yesterday was a typical September day ( First week of spring ) Blue sky, 24C ( about 75F ) not a cloud in sight. I went out for a walk at lunchtime and came back feeling a bit too warm. By 5pm it had cooled down to about 16C as the sun was starting to get low in the sky. Last night we had a small heater on in the lounge room and we were very comfortable. ( Inbetweeners was on TV ! )
My Aussie mates are still complaining that it's too cold.
