Another one for the melting pot - a VW Tiguan.

I'm getting 6.9L per 100KM at the moment, which ain't bad for an AWD.

Not really an SUV but I like the look of the new VW Amarok 4x4 dual-cab ute that's coming out early next year.

form the post,s here, the Kluger looks like a winner, cheaper than a Prado, and its a Toyota so mum and dad will be happy, and as a family car it looks ok, poor off road but most will never see dirt...

We brought a new Kluger over the Prado because inside was nicer and never had any probs with Toyota.

From the 3 you listed a Prado without a doubt.

For the first 7 weeks we hired an Mits Outlander nice for first couple of hours but such an uncomfy car, hated it.

If I was going on an unlimited bank account a Range Rover

About to sell mine for the shitty mileage it gets around town. 14L/100 is not my idea of fun. But it is OK off road and ok on road once you get a suspension kit on it. I just wish it had a slighter pokier engine in it as it struggles.

But then, having said that I have just ordered a Prius so I have no taste anyhow

What a Prius.... I commend your green choice and wise financial sense.

Mine gets about 11.5l/100 - do you have the diesel? Never noticed it being underpowered - quite the opposite, gets away very fast at traffic lights.

We have a Lexus RX330, so like a Toyota but more luxury has been a fantastic car & would highly recommend. Servicing pretty reasonable, we paid $750 for 100k service from Lexus dealer
