What is happening in OZ?
WTH is happening? I've heard today that 20 aussie young men attacked a brazilian while he was enjoying the sun with his girlfriend on a beach of gold coast.
They asked him for a cigarrete and he didn't have one, so they questioned him where he was from. When he said he was from Brazil, they started beating him...
He had already 2 surgeries to reconstruct his chin.
What is that? There isn't an AUSTRALIAN PURE RACE as everyone know...
This is something to be ASHAME of ! It is a shame for the human race! I really hope this guys get punished by law!
I don't have anything against aussies, on contrary, I love aussies, but this type of individuals .....

Racism exists all over the world. I think the question you need to ask is "what is happening in the world".
I dont think that its particularly any worse that it has ever been, but perhaps our awareness of it and media spin is greater.

But I was shocked because I had australians as one of the most peaceful people in the world... Maybe things are changing... :-(

Catarina Alps, a spokeswoman for the Gold Coast's Brazilian community, said she had spoken to Mr de Souza in Portuguese yesterday and he was adamant the attack was not racial.
"He said no one said anything to him that was even vaguely racial, and reports in Brazil that he had been abducted and bitten are totally wrong," she said.
"The reports in Brazil came from an intercepted email and 'beaten' may been have become 'bitten', or it could be a mix-up because he lost teeth.
"All this is about is that Rodrigo was in the wrong place when a drunken mob got out of hand."
