Unhappy what a day

So today is Ants day off and I am here all alone running the backpackers

1st thing to go wrong is I get downsatirs start doing the laundry only to find that Ant hasn't finished yesterday and it is goin to take me 4 loads before I can even start, So all I angry I get and shout at him (womans preogative(SP))

Secondly half way through the 1st wash the washin machine decides to pack up, so already by 9am I am hating today, the an hour later the bigest and newest waching machine we have also packs up. So out comes washing machine repair man and both of the the motors have gone, really what are the chances of that, aparently we can claim on our insurance for the repair so should all be OK. The washing machine repair man asks me to pass him a bucket so he can drain them before taking them away so I pick the bucket up, get loads of spider webs all over my hands, scream like a girl and throw the bucket at him, next I have a searing pain in my leg so look down to find blood pouring down my leg from 2 small wounds, upon further investigation I find no less than 5 bites both with 2 small puncture holes (I'd like to thank Hevs at this point for jinxing me with spider bites today with her thread this morning) The pain is like bee stings but not quite as severe. I decide it is time for a cigarette and go and have a sit down only to find a red spottty rash spreading up my leg from the spider bites. So a trip to hospital is in order where I am told I have more than likely been bitten by a RED BACK 5 times, keep an eye on the glands in my groin??? not sure why and if they come up I have to go straight back to hospital, I was also told to take anto histamines but couldn't as I have already taken one today for the vast selection of mossie bites all over my body.

Feeling lots better now, no longer feel sick just have a stiff/sore neck.

But to top the day off Ant felt sorry for me and bought me a FRONT LOADING WASHING MACHINE so all is now very very very happy in the Kala household.

So the moral of the story is, you can get bitten by a red back and live to tell the tale amd if you do you get a front loader.

Front loaders frighten off the redbacks I suppose it`s better you got bitten rather than one of your guests. Suppose you`ll be checking out the wash-room for redbacks more often now eh?
Glad you feel better.... normally adults get laid out flat when bitten.... maybe it was a baby one with not much venom.

Dunno about having a ciggy ... I'm afraid the whole packet and downing a couple of bottles of whatever would have been my choice.

Glad you're ok ... just make sure you milk it for all its worth

I know that s what the DR said, I must be a right hard nut eh

I can only assume that where it bit me so many times it only injected a bit of poison each time and didn;t equal a lot, maybe the fact that I had already taken an antihistamine helped aswell, who knows?

If only, Unfortunately after having to get 1 washing machine repaired and replacing the other a trip to Perth is a little out of the price range at the mo

I'l go find a king brown 2moro and get myself bitten by that, I recon Ant will send me off for a weekend in Perth with 10 credit cards after that

Jeez Kala, you poor thing Hope you are doing OK.

Bit of a drastic move - I want a front loader, but I'm not going to those lengths :scared:

Honestly POll it really is worth it,

Symptoms today are,

Still very stiff neck, headache, aching ankles, hips and shoulders (I have no idea why but thats how I feel) but after doing 5 washes in my new baby washing machine I am more tha happy to deal with the symptoms.

I seriously sat infornt of the washing machine last night watching it for well over 40 mins marvelling the way it washes so well yet so quietly, and all the family and friends who have come round today have had my washing shoved up there noses with me saying "smell that, now that is propper clean washing"
slightly obsesive but who cares I have the cleanest washing in Gero.

OMG, if that is what you have to go through for a front loader I reckon I will replace mine when it gives up the ghost (it keeps threatening to) and bring it with me!

Hope you are feeling better now, and that the glands stay down!
