Yes. Yes they are. I just meant that I could not understand what you were talking about with this statement:

"Any voice in a sea of trouble is welcome the other forums on here , have not the great things going on that make up the Australian lifesytle?"

It sounds very poetic - in a dyslexic kind of way.

You want English as well theres no end to this , I try my best given that my employer has demands on my time as well.
Never expect good written English off a engineering drone.

O.K. nuff said.

I hate it when my boss interupts my online time. No consideration, some people.

7:45 p.m., Monday here in case anyone cares. I certainly don't.

NZIS award the following points:

Age (years) Points
18 - 24 8
25 - 29 10
30 - 34 8
35 - 39 6
40 - 44 4
45 - 49 2
50 - 55 0

I personally feel that too much emphasis given to youth, for example how can a 18-24 offer more than a 35-39?
Although it looks as though they prioritize youth, in fact the system marginally favours older people, providing they stay in a relevant job. For every 10 years, you lose 4 points but gain 5 for work experience. I'm 28 and a few points short now, but if the passmark remained the same for the next 25 years I'd be able to get in, providing I remained in work all that time.

Cheers,
John

Since the introduction of the new Contributory parent visa there may now be more 'younger' 'older' people migrating than when this poll started. (does that make sense?).
There are also more people retiring early.

In the past there was a several year wait for parent visas so most would probably be past retirement age.
My wife and I are in our early 50s and I doubt if that age group would have been well represented before as reirement visas are not even available until age 55.

Feel old among you lot though

Your're the same age as my dad
Not that I care!

I voted for Pascal in this, he is 25, I'm nearly 22, so same age bracket anyway.

I am 20 but my birth certificate states I was born in 1968 for some reason.

When I look in the mirror I wonder who that old bird is looking at me 'till I realise it's me!!!!

hubby is 38, kids 5 and 8 years.

.........Youth is wasted on the young!!!
