I originally applied to westpac while still in the uk but on arrival was told credit unions are better because they have less charges than the major well known banks so subsequently abandoned my westpac application and opened my account with bendigo bank instead, had card within days and all transactions are really speedy not like the UK, I can use my card in the supermarket go straight home log in to bank account and the transaction is there immediately :thumbsup:
