Wink West Melbourne

Hi all, can anyone tell me what life in West Melbourne is really like.
It would be great to hear from anyone living around the Point cook, werribee area's. Do kids have plenty to do?
Any info and experiences good or bad would be an interesting read.
I have looked on Google for general info.
Anything to avoid?
Tips on moving to the area?
Cheers!

Werribee isn't too bad, seems to be a few people who look at it as not a nice place. But I've been there and was nice, few attractions dotted about and good road rail links. Housing more affordable than closer to Melbourne CBD.

I've been told that it looks like the US and the driving is really bad.

If you don't want to spend much money, they're very good places with good quality of life!
The way Melbourne's growing, the value for money will definately increase too which is a huge plus!

I spent xmas with family who live in point cook (sanctuary lakes) and it is a lovely area, kids play out on the street all day and barbie invites are never short. However, if u don't want your neighbours knowing all your movements and to live amongst xpats, this is not the place....I agree it is very like America and some of the estates look just like stepford wives!
