We're Here!!!!!
OMG we made it!!!
After a long journey with 3 very well behaved girls we have finally arrived to start our New Life Down Under!!!
Its Sunday morning, all been up since 6am (for the 2nd day running) still a bit jet lagged, but feeling great, not sure about the outdoor morning wake up call its a bit like living in a jungle, but sure we will get used to it.
Had our first Aussie barbie even though the hosts were a bit out of sorts having a barbie mid winter!!! They were wearing jumpers we were wearing light weights.
All on track and first impressions are really good, everybody really helpful and cheery, even the local bus driver drove us to the nearest car hire but he insisted we use an alternative business which turned out to be sound advice as we saved $30 per day, always listen to the locals!!
Just applied for TFN online successfully but unsure about visas. Do we need to visit the DIMIA office in Brisbane or has the visa been validated on entry.?
Any advice greatly received.
Going to check out the local suburbs for rents and interviews for jobs set up for tomorrow, so going well.
Post again soon, but anyone out there still unsure as to take the plunge, our advice - DO IT!!

Re the visa.... You will need to go to the DIMIA office and they will stick the visa into your passport.
I keep meaning to mention this.... we have a Manx cat! :-)
Regards
Neil.

Re: We're Here!!!!!
If you visa is a PR visa, no further action required. If a temp one such as a 457 then you will need to go to your nearest DIMIA office within 30 days to have the visa put in your passport.

Welcome guys!
Remember to take it a bit easy too ... those first two weeks can be hectic and you need some time just to 'be'.
