I'll be sending my application away in a few weeks. Just awaiting skill assesment response. Are there a lot of forms you need to fill in or is your agent filling in the forms for you?
I'd be interested in knowing how your application proceeds over the next several months. Don't know about you but it appears that the DIMIA are processing applications a little quicker than most people and agents seem to suggest. I've seen several posts over the last few weeks that have received there application response within 9 months. Lets hope it continues.

Yes lets hope it does take quicker than we are led to believe.
We have applied under Independent Skilled category 136 under hubbys skills as a butcher.
TRA part was a nightmare the information and detail required were unbelievable. From feedback from the agent hopefully we have got it right.
For the main application you need to submitt
Certified copies of proof of recent work experience
marriage cetificates
birth certificates
if investing house valuation and bank statements, mortgage statements.
proof of English Education
x4 passport photographs
Main form completed.
approx £600 application fee.Positive Skills assesment
Not too sure if I have missed anything out I think thats it.
Took us a month to sort it all out.

just out of interest, how much is a good price for these agents, as we have been qouted prices in thousands, then when I got the forms myself I found out that The DIMA xharge was nothing in comparason to what they agents asked us to pay.
I am finding the forms difficult to fill in but is it worth the money for an agent, and if so does anyone know of any good ones and their prices?

Re: Well its gone !!!!!
We're using an agent (TRA agent charged $2500AUD and immigration agent charged another $2500 AUD - then there will be the $1990 immigration fee). Hope it's all worth it.
I've just posted off our application. Husband passed TRA and everything looks okay so far - phew.
Was a bit concerned about proving my son's English education as he's just turned 15 and hasn't sat any exams yet. Any ideas?
