i am a (first class welder) an i have been trying to find jobs around surfers paradise area and finding it hard to find anything at the min. i have seen 2 jobs advertised but it gives me no idea of salary in that area. i am confused now because i am single and moving there on my own so i will only need a 1 or 2 bedroomappartment but not sure what price range i can start looking to rent.

thank you, i have been on there as i know what i will be able to rent for now all i need now is help to find out a salary i can kind ov expect being a welder, and if there is many jobs within the area

Where are you at the moment? What visa do you have?

Clearly the main industry in the GC is tourism...I'd expect there's much better places to find work as a welder.

Currently only one welder/boilermaker job showing up on Careerone. Nothing on Seek. Do you have to come here? I don't think it's going to be easy for you.

Not sure what a class one welder is, but most companies around here are increasingly looking for a 2980 or 1796 welding certificate (which need to be renewed every 2 years).

rental places going on Mermaid waters in the unit where I live, 15 min drive from Surfers. The rent for 3 bedroom is about 1300 dollars per month.
