Once you have decided on who to use make sure you put the mail forwarding on your ntl account to your new one as soon as possible.

Its just that sometimes you forget about mailing lists that you may be on and friends etc that you do not email a lot but still want to keep in touch with.

Default Re: Web Email

I have a UK Lycos email address (fair amount of free storage space, limited ads, no spam). The only down side to having a UK based account that I've found, is that they obviously tend to do maintenance at night (UK time), which means email is down during the day (Aus time). It's only happened once or twice, but it's a pain and just something to consider.

I still use my yahoo.co.uk address, I guess there may be a slight drawback if their servers are actually based in the UK, but I've never noticed a speed problem with it.

It just helps if you are apllying for jobs and stuff if you have a .au address to avoid any confusion.

Default Re: Web Email

I have recently set up a gmail account and am very happy with it. I have already forwarded my NTL mail to it so that I know it works and also so I will build up a history of emails for once I lose NTL.
