Hi Sharon
We have been in Townsville for around 3 months and love it, I have two children and they have made some great friends at school. It would be great to meet up with some english people and put the world to right. there is a meet up at the strand but no body seems to know much about it. It would be great to get together and have a chat.

Ok, seeing as there is no news of a Strand meet up just yet. Does any one fancy meeting up during the holidays, maybe the Strand Park or Kirwan Aquatic Centre for the mums? What about Friday 9th January?
Or alternatively, a meet at The Centenary Hotel (French Street), Sunday 18th January. There is a bouncy pillow for the kids and a bar for the adults!

What about later in the afternoon about 3 pm? There is seating outside (undercover if I remember correctly) and the kids can play on the bouncy pillow with us watching.
Those with no children can just relax!
Sharon, how old are your children? I have two girls aged 4 and 6.

We are beginning to feel left out as our kids are in the UK
so if anyone has some spare kids to lend us for the afternoon, that would be fab
