we got an email from our agent today our visa has been granted.Still carnt believe it ......we applied 28th november 2003 sent meds unrequested 6th april 2004 pre grant recieved dated 12th may 2004 it has only taken 5 1/2 months.

Thanks to all for your congrats
we applied under skilled indep 136 darren is an electrician.
Our agent was go matilda, from sending visa off in november with a fresh work reference (not the same one we used for our tra and payslips)
we have heard nothing from dimia apart from the pre grant......
We recieved our pre grant 4 weeks after we sent our meds in still not knowing if we had a case officer or not and also not knowing if they had recieved our meds, we were very supprised to hear that our visas were here.
we were expecting some correspondance from dimia in around 4/6 weeks has the nov meds were being requested.

hope all this makes sence.......

Ive already settled, we moved to Melbourne from the Borders of Scotland in July 1999. Never regretted it either.

Fully agree pompeywill but will miss our footy it's just a pity that we wont beable to see them on tv as i'm sure sky wont want to be showing 1st divison football so we are going to try and cram in as many leeds games as we can befor we go........

We too applied Nov (27th), but haven't heard anything yet although a heavy weight has been lifted off my shoulders today. House to go on market in two weeks, meds in three weeks (unrequested so far) and brian in seel everything mode.
