Are there any pubs etc (ie outside of my living room) where ppl will be watching it together? I know that Manning Bar at Sydney Uni is holding an event on the day but it's a long trek for me to get out there.

I am totally uninterested in American politics and know sod all about Republicans and Democrats. However I think this election was very important for America on one very basic point. That is that a mere 35 years ago a black man wasn't allowed to ride on a bus with a white man, let alone vote. Now one is President Elect. That is major for America in my book, regardless of how black he is or even how sound his policies are and whether he'll be a great president or not.

Just my opinion.

The fact that he's easier on the eye and the ear than Bush is an added bonus
