Warning To Sub-letters!

Just A Warning To Anyone Out There Who Is Thinking Of Sub-letting
We Had A Very Bad Experience In Australia Where We Sub-letted Through Some Friends Friends. They Had Basically Let A Very Nice House For 6 Months But After 3 Had Brought Somewhere They Had Paid All Of There Rent Up Front So When We Came Along They Were Very Happy To Lower The Rent By $130 A Week For The Last 13 Weeks Of The Tenency So They Were Getting Quite Abit Of Money Back Rather Than Loosing It All.
We Gave Them A $1000 Deposit And All The Rent In Advance......stupidly!
After 9 Weeks We Knew Oz Was Not For Us And We Wanted To Get Home As Quickly As We Could They Refused To Come And See The Property And Have Now Charged Us For All Sorts Of Things And We Have After A Long Wait Now Only Recieved Back A Small Amount Of Money
So Be Warned If Thinking Of Sub-letting Rather Than Using A Agent Had We Of Entered Into A 6 Month Lease We Would Have Been Able To Recieve Any Rent Paid Back Plus Not Have Been Charged For Expenses That Should Not Have Been Our Responsibility To Pay!
