Wanneroo - not a great area.
Joondalup. It's nice in a clean, clinical, very new sort of way. It has everything you need though in terms of shops/medical/fitness etc. My hubby doesn't like it much but I used to live in Docklands and it reminds me of there (whilst it was it was still 'up and coming'.) No high rise office blocks though - yet! At night and at the weekend it's like a flim set after everyone has cleared up and gone home - dead
Property still pretty cheap......
Mrs J
PS Living on the coast in Iluka and loving it here

Re: wanaroo / jondaloop area's Perth
I lived in Wanneroo when we first moved to Australia in 1983. Lived there with my parents till 1987 when we moved to Woodvale. Was there till 1992 when we moved to Joondalup. I am currently living in England again but my folks are still in Joondalup and I go back at least once a year!
I Love Joondalup!!!!!!! Feel free to email me at [email protected] if you have any questions. We lived in Joondalup before the shops, cinema, trainstation etc were even there! It has an amazing atmosphere, a UK style Pub (as does Woodvale) and I can't say enough about it
I have heard that Iluka is a very up and coming place too and cannot wait to check it out when we go back. When we moved back here, Iluka was very much in it's infancy but as the trains go further and further out, more and more suburbs are opening up.
