Walking bear foot in your own home...

Walking bear foot in your own home...
Hi,
As I was padding to the loo last night last, at around 2am, it suddenly struck me...
Is it ok to walk around bear foot in your own home in Adelaide or are you likely to tread on or have something run over your foot...
Slipper yes/no, do they need to be check before wearing?
Silly the thoughts that come into your head in the middle of the night. :scared:

Maybe flip flops would be better thongs as there are known as in Oz if I remember correct.

I think it may depend on which part of Oz you are in. Down here near Melbourne you can walk around with bare feet, although they may get a little cold in winter. I would guess that up north some places may have problems with cockroaches or other creepy crawlies. Adelaide I couldn’t say either way.
Regards

Don't remember wearing shoes very often at all when growing up in Victoria.
The only thing you had to watch out for was 'trapdoor spiders' when running bare foot on the grass.

Think I will invest in a pair of thongs to be on the safe side!

Children running round the supermarket tonight barefoot, mum just the same, they all then went across the filthy carpark in bare feet - I just can't do it, I'm not so concerned about the insects, I have more respect for my feet!

Yes you are quite right - they are thongs... not to be confused with the underwear though as I think you would feel pretty stoopid with knickers on yer feet! LOL
Coz my Mum lives on the Gold Coast & I have been over there loads of times, I have always called flipflops "thongs"... well as far back as I can remember..... My friends think its really funny when I start going on about my collection of Thongs..... I have pink sparkly ones, turquoise ones, black sequinned ones, birkenstock ones, brown leather ones with little shells on them.......... LOL
Even my hubby says "I need some thongs for our holidays" LOL..... his mates think it HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!
Talking of the types of thongs... for all you people that haven't yet visited Australia....... remember this brand - BIRKENSTOCK...... they are everywhere & are soooooooooooooooooooooooooo comfy!
