Hi, Just got back from QLD and NSW. All i can say is that it is 100 times better than WA. I think so anyway. So much more for the kids to do and see. If i had the guts, i would go tomorrow. You know i have never settled in Perth, but if we went to the East side in the first place, i know things would have been 100% different.

Do the kids want to go somewhere else ? Mine would hate to move again (not that we are planning to). Have you got restless legs or are you fed up with Perth ?

I think lots are doing it, we have some land for sale, asked the RE agent if they are still getting many UK and SA buyers she said a few but the biggest influx is now from WA, we must be cheap here

We stayed at Gold Coast, Surfer's Paradise. Brilliant place. I have lived in boredom for 2 years....i felt alive in that place, Sydney was brilliant too. Different world over East. So glad i went.

I think it goes both ways as I know there are loads coming from over east to WA, probably cashing in on the resources boom.

Plenty of people from WA, including me, are investing (but not moving there) in Qld property as well.
In Trinity Beach where I have bought, 3/4 of the investors are from WA.

It's strange... I wonder why people from WA invest in property over east and people over east invest in property here?!

Our rental was owned by two brothers from Sydney, they had quite a few other properties in WA too...

I'm doing it because property is cheaper over there but will eventually catch up with WA in the near future due to their buoyant economy.
