Default Visiting family want to avoid Easter flights

Hi all,
I was hoping that someone can help my mum decide when is the best time to fly to Oz. Ideally it would be march/april/may 2008, but we dont know when the schools break up and the flight prices go up/down.
Rather than trawl through it all on the net, can someone point us in the right direction please to get us started?
She will be flying from London to Brisbane. If anyone know of good dates or deals coming up, please let us know.
Thanks very much.
Regards,
Steve and his mum.

I say mid March/ to first week in April, as there is a half term at end of Feb too, but no school holidays until end of April

Thanks for the info c+f,
The best I can find is £709. I suppose thats not too bad.
Is it worth the risk waiting until last minute, or are flights going to be cheaper booking it now?
Has anyone booked last minute and got a great deal?
Regs,
S

Hi Steve

My parents have just booked to arrive 29th March, school hols here are a bit weird for easter, they have Easter weekend off, then back at school, then off from the 4th! They got the best deal from Thomas Cook! beter than any online prices, even better than booking through Singapore's own site! They fly from Heathrow to Brissie, then they intend to drive to Sydney, then fly to Melbourne, then fly home from there. Price was around £1750 for 2.
Edit, hmmmnn just realised you meant UK schools thought you meant when 'T' was off to be home!

We used independent travel agency when we moved over to OZ back in March, their prices was much cheaper than the big one's & online one's, cant think of their name right now, but we just googled & their name came up,they were in wembley london & it was with Singapore airlines, but it did worked out a lot cheaper through them.

Try Freedom Australia ph. 0870 742 4000 , we are using them for our one way flights and they were better than booking direct with Singapore Airways!
