Default visa stamp in passport query

Hi All,

We got Bert's passport back from DIMIA with the visa page - I thought there would be a photo page added also? There is just one page with a label stuck on, and a perferated strip attached that I assume is taken at the airport in Oz when you arrive.

Can anyone confirm this is correct? I would hate to get to Oz and there is something missing and deportation ensues!

not sure about that but I thought all visas were also electronic. When I've been to oz on a tourist visa I've had nothing in my passport to say I've got a tourist visa, it was all electronic

Not all visas are electronic. Permanent visas are generally label-based.

Hello

Hope you are well. Nigel got his visa back and he only had what you did a faint, bearly readable sticker with a perforated strip attached. This is all he needs to get in and live happily ever after.

Never fear, no deportation.

Hey thanks all,

I wasn't going to say anything - I guess the odds of them getting it wrong are pretty miniscule, but thought we would be kicking ourselves if something was missing and we found trouble at the other end

We didn't get the extra perforated stip and they marked my others halfs incorrectly (put must not enter before PERSON rather than must not enter before Spottydog) but we successfully validated our visa's in Sydney earlier this year.
