Question A visa question

We are wanting to move to Oz but are not married or living together just now.Do each of us need a separate visa or would we be able to go together on mine as I have the points which make me eligible?

Thanks

If it's any help then my wife, son and I all need a seperate visa each. These are permanent residence visas obtained under the 136 (skilled independant) class.

I would suggest that you will both need a visa each, but probably need others on this board to back me up on that.

My girlfriend went on my visa application, but we've recently married and informed the relevant authorities. Our situation is as follows:
Passed application stage, passed police checks and medicals, my cousin in Oz who is sponsoring us has been asked by Centrelink (oz DSS) for proof of residency, now waiting for DIMIA to request bond. I'm going down the sponsored route, but had enough points to apply anyway. Hope this okay for you, let me know if i can help you anymore.
Regards
Gary

I'm sure JAJ or Alan will correct me if I'm wrong, but to be a Secondary applicant, your other half will need to be either your wife or De Facto.

Therefore, I suspect that you will be both need separate visa's.

You'll almost certainly need evidence of living together for 12 months as a de facto couple. If you re-post your question on the immigration forum you are more likely to get a definitive answer (more agents over there!)

My g/f went on my application as secondary applicant but we been living together for 3 years and had to prove this so looks like separate visa's for you or move in together and wait 12 months b4 applying

That's right ... more information about what constitutes a de facto relationship is here:

Best regards.
