Just a quick question about getting those pesky stickers in our passports...

If you go down in person, do you just have them put in on the same day? How soon can we go and get them put in (It said something about waiting 5 days...???)

Sorry I'm a bit dim (that blonde hair dye is having an impact!)

You used to be able to do it in person but I'm not sure you still can. If you send it off, by Special Delivery, enclosing a prepaid self addressed Special Delivery envelope you'll have it back, duly stamped in a few days.

Do a search, i'm sure someone not long ago went in person and he got there late morning and had to go back the next day.I'm sure he said its only open between 9-11am.

Hi, we went to Australia House 2 days after being granted our visa to get them put into our passports.
The office is only open between 9am-11am weekdays and the whole process took about 10 mins and that was with a small queue.

you'll get full instructions when u get ur visa and ours took 3 days by post to get back 2 us! hope this helps

Hi Ali.

We went down this morning,got there at 08.15 and we were the only ones there.Doors opened at 09.00 and we were first in.There were a few people in the queue behind us then and they had to wait outside in the rain(i think for security reasons only so many people can come in at a time).The process only took 10 minutes.
Got back to coventry by 12.00 then down the pub.We went down cus were flying sat and needed to make sure our passports were stamped.I reccommend u get there early and be first in the queue its faster in the long run.
