We have applied to go to geelong area in victoria and have been in the waiting game for weeks now. All our info was in oz by the 16th june 05 now we sit and wait. Just wondering does anyone know anymore about this visa category? Firstly is it a priority type? Also are there restrictions once we have it with regards to being allowed to purchase property as soon as we arrive there? 6 weeks of waiting is sending us all mad here!! Thanks

There are a lot of other restrictions that will affect you while you are on a temporary visa.

Hi my wife and i are moving to Geelong on 5th October, my visa is the SIR which means we have got to work in Geelong im looking for work in the roofing industry as that's what my trade is and they say they are short of roofers. Anyway we had to wait about eight months after sending everything off, just hang in it will be soon.

Great to know other people going to Geelong too.
