Vetassess timeframe after payment taken
Hi. My vetassess reassessment fee was taken out of the bank today. Does anyone have any idea if payment being taken indicates a timeframe? i.e. Am I likely to hear soon now that payment has been taken? Thanks all x

Qualifications Assessment for Temporary Graduate Visa (subclass 485):
The processing time for a qualifications only assessment (485 visas) is approximately 6-8 weeks once all documents required for assessment have been received by VETASSESS. Some cases may take longer depending on the complexity level of the case.
Skills Assessment for GSM / ENS / RSMS / Temporary Work (Skilled) visa (subclass 457) / State or Territory Sponsored visa:
The approximate time for assessment is 12-14 working weeks once we have received all documents required for the assessment. If you are also required to apply for verification of your Chinese qualifications through VETASSESS, please allow an additional 8-10 weeks. Some cases may take longer depending on the complexity of the case.
For Points Test Applications only (applicants for VETASSESS occupations):
◾The processing time is 6-8 weeks.
For Points Test Applications (applicants for non-VETASSESS occupations):
◾The approximate time is 4-6 weeks.

EDIT - sorry, just noticed you are applying for reassessment. Is this because a previous assessment lapsed, or was rejected?

Every assessment will be a little different - Vetassess assess a wide variety of occupations, so even if someone else tells you that their assessment took 11 weeks (or 18 weeks) it will have no bearing on how long your assessment takes (and it will likely be close to the timeline given anyway).
EDIT - sorry, just noticed you are applying for reassessment. Is this because a previous assessment lapsed, or was rejected?

That one took 4 months. I only had to update my employment this time, as have changed job since (not occupation, just employer), and everything else is the same.
Was kinda secretly hoping it would be a quick one (but guessing its done in order of submission) and now that payment has been taken, I wondered if that's an indication that it's been looked at?
