Default Validate visiting Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne

HELP!

We fly out on 8th Feb to validate. Our fact finding mission includes visiting Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne.

Anyone with ideas on which areas, schools etc to visit as well as a few nice places to chill out would be gratefully appreciated!

Also thinking of hiring a camper van for Gt Ocean Road drive, but not too sure as hubby is 6 ft 4" so may be a bit large to sleep in it!

Anyone who fancies meeting up for a drink out there would be great too!

Was hoping to get up to Brisbane way to see TinaJ,Pollyana etc, but not sure if we have time as we are only out there for 3 weeks!

Role on Feb

3 weeks ? You may be right in having to miss Brisbane, with all the other looking around you will be doing.
Enjoy the trip and good luck

Oh well, in that case, forget down South & out West, and come straight here

Sorry that I can't help with serious info, but I only know Sydney & Brisbane.

hmm...how long where you in QSL for? i've visited there and whilst it was a beautiful place I wouldn't want to live there. Its extremely different to VIC, although it depends wot ur lookin for I suppose, I would find it way to slow, and the heat....im a typical brit...wouldn't be able to stick it and its like that all year round, whereas where I am in melb its v hot but u still get rainy cool days too which is a pleasant break!

gt ocean rd is fantastic! out of this world! Havent been up as far as twelve apostles yet but lorne and apollo bay are fantastic, if your hiring a camper van it would be a fantastic trip to do, I think u can get nearly all the way to adelaide from melbourne on it and me and hubby are gona do that sometime soon.

cant really give you much advice on melb, only been here a few months, I live in the city which is brill! but the suburbs are nice too. Check out st kilda for restaurants and loads of yummy cake shops, and prahran for its market.
great shopping centre at chadstone. fantastic beaches EVERYWHERE!

I live in Adelaide at the other end of the GOR.

I'll be honest. If you only coming for 3 weeks i would give Perth a miss as it is soooooo far away from everywhere else, you will waste a lot of driving time between there and Adelaide looking at nothing!! Or i guess you could fly from Perth to Adelaide and drive from there.

Thanks for the advice! We are flying from Perth to Adelaide, so will cut down on the travelling time.

Too be honest we are seriously considering Adelaide, Melbourne or Brissy to live, Perth just seems a little too isolated but still want to check it out.

My vocation is an Accountant, so work is a key issue, hubby is an Air Traffic Engineer so highly specialised. Any advice on places to stay / visit Adelaide or Melbourne way would be great! We have friends who live in the Mount Lofty Ranges and are loving it.

Also any advice on areas to live, good schools etc?

Thanks!

Hi there,

Me & my family (husband Vincent & 3 children)visited WA 2001. Our time was totally packed, we were based in Mandurah & had friends living there to guide us, still do.

You may find it hard to pack in so much in such a short time, but Perth and surrounding areas FAB & well worth time.

As for schools only know of Warnbro and Halls Head campus for Living Waters Lutheran College, visit their site at www.livingwaters.wa.edu.au

Our friends child goes to Warnbro campus & they're very happy with his progress.

We're now waiting for meds request... 40wks & counting

Have a fantastic time whatever & wherever you go!

Lee-Loiuse
