Default urgent flight back to uk advice please...

hello,

i've just found out today that my nan has died back in england and was wondering if anyone knows of any airlines/travel agents that do last minute flights (other than the obvious like lastminute!!) that arent going to wipe out my entire finances by charging me loads??

thanks in advance

sorry to hear your news dan. have you tried ringing Qantas direct - am sure someone here was in same situation recently and Qantas sorted out flights more or less immediately.

Really sorry to hear that.

There really isn't anything special about last minute flights, a travel agent can't offer you anything other than what is publically available....however there are good fares out there at short notice.

If you want to leave next week then there are good fares on Malaysia Airlines ex Brisbane to Heathrow.

e.g. leaving Monday and returning Tue 17th March is about $1860 (directly on their website).

That's a good fare, and at short notice.

My friend was looking into this just yesterday for the same reason and booked a flight on Virgin Atlantic for 1700 for Monday - the last minute sites are as good as any.

So sorry for your loss, it is hard to be on the other side of the world when it happens.

Just go into a travel agency and ask them to find you a seat on the first flight out. Save you ringing the world and it's wife looking for one yourself.
